Priority Matrix

The numbers.

Four dimensions, scored 1–6, where six is always the good end: cheapest, quickest, easiest, highest impact. Priority is Impact squared, divided by what it costs you in energy, money and time.

Kept separate from the priority score on purpose: confidence in the evidence never raises how worth-it something is.

Where this falls down

Knowing is not changing: filling out a questionnaire moves zero biomarkers, and no trial shows Big Five feedback alone improves health. The trait-outcome correlations are real but modest (conscientiousness-longevity r = .11), and preregistered replications shrink published personality effects by about a quarter.

The value is routing: if you score low on conscientiousness, automate (transfers, refills, calendar defaults) instead of betting on willpower; if you score high on neuroticism, weight the sleep and light cards harder.

Use a free IPIP-based inventory — anything that sorts you into 16 types (MBTI) has no predictive validity and would sit on our overhyped shelf.
